The Shtender – Jewish Holidays
The Shtender, is a readers table that stores all the ritual objects one needs to practice Judaism throughout the Jewish calendar year. The decoration pattern used in the carving of the Shtender is the trees and plants of Israel including all the seven species by which the Land of Israel is known. Each Shtender object incorporates a plant appropriate to its particular mitzvah. The Tree of Life theme unites the whole work. The Shtender is broken up into three different compartments: daily, weekly, and holiday ritual objects. This is an outstanding way for people to explore the Jewish holiday cycle. Appropriate for both adults and children.
